Ransom Dry Vermouth
94 Points Wine Enthusiast
Ransom Dry Vermouth harkens back to the flourishing cocktail culture of the Belle Époque, when joie de vivre filled the air and Vermouth made the evolutionary leap from charlatan snake oil and disguised refuse to distinguished mainstay of the era’s most popular drinks—the Martinez, the Martini, the Marguerite, and across the pond, the Manhattan.

An outstanding Dry Vermouth, excellent with Beefeater's gin for Martinis.
I received a bottle of your Ransom dry Vermouth from a friend visiting us from Oregon who brought it because he knows I especially enjoy a dry martini. I had never herd of the Vermouth or your winey before. What an enlightenment! I can imagine drinking a martini with another another gin (I also like Broker's English gin), but I cannot see myself adding another vermouth to it. I also want to add that your service is beyond rational expectations. My first order for dry vermouth was bungled and I received sweet vermouth instead of dry. I called the winery and it was immediately corrected - and I received the dry vermouth the NEXT DAY (from Oregon to Pennsylvania) so that I could "enjoy it for the weekend" according to the person with whom I spoke. By the way, on my last order I selected (beside the dry vermouth) 4 bottles of Chardonnay at $16/bottle. It was the best I've ever tasted - my wife even liked it and she never likes Chardonnay. Do you have any left? Many thanks for your outstanding wine and even better service. Sincerely, Bob Larson Robert H. Larson, Ph.D. Professor Emeritus of History Lycoming College Williamsport, Pa.
The Ultimate Martini
This is a unique Vermouth that combined with Beefeaters Gin (and nothing else under any circumstances!)) makes a wonderful Martini.
