- Description
The 2016 Ransom Cattrall Vineyard Pinot Noir is a tribute to Oregon winemaking history. It is sourced from the Cattrall Brothers Vineyard — the oldest certified organic vineyard in the state — where own-rooted vines have been farmed by the same family on the cool, high-elevation slopes of the Eola-Amity Hills since the 1970s. This vintage is a selection of our favorite barrels, offering a profound sense of place.
Tasting Notes
- Complex aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, and warm baking spice
- Savory undertones of tobacco leaf, forest floor, and a hint of woodsmoke
- Elegant and acid-driven on the palate, with silky tannins and a lingering, umami-rich finish that speaks to the vineyard's mature root system
A true wine of terroir, balancing the ripe fruit of the 2016 vintage with the cool-climate tension of the Eola-Amity Hills. Ideally suited to earthy dishes like wild mushroom risotto, roasted squab, or cedar-plank salmon with fresh herbs.
